A TAUNTING MEMORY

The most unexpected moments become your favourite memories.

Here's my small ode to the inspiration that revived my overflow of words, refined my thoughts and restored my sensibility.

A TAUNTING MEMORY

Caught clueless in a strange land
Wandering amidst unknown faces,
My mind froze, entranced
By the glimpse of a mystical stage
Of fine lines and curves.
As a hundred curtains of beauty rose
In unison, a silent exquisite symphony,
A drama unfolded in black and white
Masking the infinite depths of grey,
Followed by a rare streak
Of a gleaming shooting star.
For the moment to last, I waited in vain
But what remained was its memory
Too prominent for dismissal
Yet too distant from revelry.
Irrevocably I find myself
Trapped in this web of mirage,
And as I wake up to reality
With the inevitable revelation,
In silence, I shudder,
At the sheer impossibility
Of the thought of parting ways
With a farewell.
