We encounter many people every day in our lives. Most remain
mere acquaintances, some become our good friends and there are a precious few
who become such an integral part of our life that we feel we’ve known them
forever. This post is dedicated to one such amazing person in my life- a
wonderful friend, my crazy companion, my biggest obsession and the most perfect
bestie/brother anyone could ever get! :D
I still remember being in an emotionally wrecked, tearful
state when we had our first ever conversation. Right from that very moment, your
words have always had this refreshing effect on me like that of a cool, soothing
breeze on a tired and exhausted runner. You’ve been a constant pillar of
support, my best critic, my incessantly patient complaint-box and my source of
solace. Through the years, knowingly or unknowingly, you’ve inspired me,
transformed me into a better, sensible person and given me perspective during the
toughest of times. But what’s amazing is that you managed to do all of this
without actually “saying” anything comforting! :P
For listening and replying to my endless chit-chat, for
always being there for me- no matter what time of the day or night, for always
being curious to know what I have in mind, for knowing me and my mind better
than I do, for being my complete contrast, for putting up with my
million nicknames, for bracing yourself for all the slaps I gave you, , for all
the times you’ve fooled and surprised me, for the long pointless arguments, for
the fights we have almost every day, for being so protective and possessive
about me, for all the things you mean but hardly say, for being the best
brother and for making me a good sister, thank you! Thanks a million, Viggo! :D
You’re 20 now, big boy! May God bestow upon you all the
goodness you rightfully deserve! Hope you have a great year ahead, with lots of
memories that’ll keep that smile of yours intact! :)
