Thank God it's Monday! :D

What is your most favourite day of the week?

A childish question, yes, and I’m quite sure that most of us will have one obvious common answer-Sunday! The weekend means something special for everyone; it could be spending quality time with your loved ones, pursuing a hobby, partying hard or simply lazing around on a couch. The very thought of the weekend creates a sense of excitement and happiness.

But this sheer bliss barely exists for a day! Don’t we always wish we had an extra day between Sunday and Monday!? Oh, how we dread Mondays! I’m no exception to this widely prevalent “Monday hatred”. Though I myself am stuck with monotony on this dull Thursday evening, I strongly believe that it’d be wonderful if we all learnt to say “Thank god it’s Monday!” than “Oh hell! It’s Monday again!”

No, the point here is not about convincing people that Monday is fit to be a favourite day! But, the very thought of accepting the start of a week with happiness is a sign of sheer grit and optimism. This just gives us an insight of how the simplest things can have a deep implication. Life is going to throw us a million surprises- pressurizing, challenging and dissuading us at every juncture. Our biggest ever challenge is to keep up with its mind-numbing routine. And, a positive outlook, I believe, is our ship’s only mast that’ll keep us afloat even during the roughest of tides.

We always try to find an escape route when faced with a difficulty than boldly tackle it. Our inclination towards weekends only symbolises that idea. In our student life, we cannot escape our ever-pending record submissions, impending exams or attendance restrictions. Cribbing or avoiding them do not change the reality we have to face.

If we try to at least accept, if not love our work, as much as we cherish our leisure, we’d do ourselves a lot of good! A first step could be, to say, “Ah, it’s Monday again! Let’s give an amazing start to this week!” What do you say?

Cheers! :)

A journey begins!

Hi folks! :)
The idea of blogging has been in my head for a long time now, and I’ve finally decided to give it a try. It has been a huge decision for me because creating a blog is simple, maintaining one is possibly the most difficult task! So, with the advent of the New Year, I decided to let go off all my apprehensions and plunged into writing.
This little resolution I’d made brought me staring at the big picture of life!  Remember, as a child, how you first started walking? Initially, very hesitant, with a huge fear that you may fall? And then, with a massive leap of faith, you took your first baby steps, falling a few times and then, bravo! You were on your own, stable and confident! Every small thing in life, right from befriending a person, learning to play the guitar, trying to cook a new dish, or climbing a mountain, the initiative you take is what matters the most. Once you set your mind to accomplishing it, there’s no force in the world that can pull you back.
The road ahead...!
And, I’m glad I took my baby steps into blogging, because here, I’ve found my space to express my thoughts, without any predefined image I have to live up to and without any fear of being judged. I have an innate nature to observe and ponder a lot even about the most trivial things. And you better be prepared, my conclusions can be startling, amusing or just plainly crazy! Life’s an exciting journey, always throwing in surprises when you least expect it, which is why I call it “The Mystical Mirage”!
Hope you stay with me in this journey for long, and enjoy what you read!
Cheers! :)
